Chainlink has joined forces with FORMS HK, Apex Group, CSpro, and Cyberport to support Hong Kong’s Tokenized Securities Framework. The project uses Chainlink’s CCIP and ACE to enable compliant issuance and cross-chain settlement of tokenized assets. Pilots and live transactions are already underway under the ERC-3643 standard, boosting liquidity and crypto markets integration.

Key Insights

  • Hong Kong has selected Chainlink to power its new tokenized securities framework using CCIP and automated compliance tools.
  • The framework enables compliant issuance, settlement, and cross-chain movement of tokenized securities in line with existing regulations.
  • Chainlink’s institutional momentum continues to grow as CCIP surpasses $16 billion in transferred value and secures major enterprise integrations.

Chainlink has joined a new Tokenized Securities Framework in Hong Kong as institutional adoption of blockchain infrastructure expands.

FORMS HK, Chainlink, Apex Group, CSpro and Cyberport launched the framework to support the lifecycle of tokenized securities.

The initiative uses Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol and Automated Compliance Engine for interoperability and compliance functions.

However, the framework should not be described as Hong Kong selecting Chainlink as its official tokenization infrastructure.

Cyberport is owned by the Hong Kong government, while the Securities and Futures Commission separately oversees regulated tokenized investment products.

The partnership will make use of two major services from the Chainlink suite: Chainlink Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) and Chainlink Automated Compliance Engine (ACE).

The Chainlink CCIP integration will help move assets securely across chains, while Chainlink ACE will handle policy enforcement and identity checks.

That combination will allow the framework to stay compliant while assets smoothly move between onchain and offchain environments.

FORMS HK CEO Alex Chan praised this partnership, noting that the new platform (TSF) will “establish the infrastructure needed to connect new technologies with regulated market operations.”

The framework uses the ERC-3643 token standard at the start so compliance sits inside the tokens themselves. It stays open to other chains and supports delivery-versus-payment with tokenized deposits and bank settlement. Sandbox pilots and real transactions have already started rolling out.

In addition to the partnership development, Chainlink’s CCIP has taken the lead in wrapped Bitcoin this week after BitGo selected it as its new bridging provider.

After reviewing its older bridging service, BitGo migrated more than $7.7 billion worth of WBTC over from its older bridging provider to CCIP. From now on, CCIP will be the official cross-chain infra for BitGo.

Following this new integration, the Total value that has moved through CCIP crossed $16 billion.

In other Chainlink news, Grayscale released a video featuring Chainlink as one of their most lucrative Exchange Traded Product (ETP).

Grayscale Head of Research Zach Pandl believes the industry remains “very, very early” in a long process of creating a fully tokenized financial system. He stated that institutions will need this technology, with Chainlink “right at the center.”

Although the explainer video was meant to promote Grayscale’s Chainlink ETP (GLNK), Pandl does a great job showing Chainlink’s core value for institutions.

The post arrives amid ongoing Chainlink integrations in banking/capital markets such as the TSF in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong is pushing hard on digital assets. CCIP’s recent dominance in wrapped Bitcoin shows the same rails are already capable of handling serious size.

Institutions have a clear path to put capital markets onchain. Especially with clear rules, government support, and now a working framework with Chainlink under the hood.

Combined with Chainlink’s existing enterprise integrations, products like GLNK lower barriers for capital and attention. This reinforces a feedback loop of adoption, credibility, and potential demand for the network’s services and token.
