CertiK: Over $172M Lost in November Security Incidents, $45M Recovered

As per ChainThink, on November 30, 2025, CertiK reported that total losses from attacks, vulnerabilities, and fraud in November 2025 amounted to approximately $172.4 million, with $45 million frozen or recovered, leaving a net loss of around $127 million. The largest incident involved Balancer ($113 million), followed by Upbit ($29.87 million) and Bex ($12.4 million). Code vulnerabilities caused the highest losses ($130 million), followed by wallet leaks ($33.05 million). DeFi projects suffered the most, with losses totaling $134.9 million. CertiK noted that despite some recoveries, the number of incidents remains high, urging users and teams to strengthen contract audits, key management, and risk controls as the year ends.
