Celestia’s TIA has suffered another sharp decline, putting investors on alert. The token dropped 14.03% within 24 hours as selling pressure intensified. Broader economic uncertainty has also weakened demand for riskier cryptocurrencies. Meanwhile, rising trading volume suggests traders remain active during the downturn. However, derivatives data reveals declining market participation and growing caution. With TIA losing crucial support, another price drop could follow.

TIA Traders Retreat as Open Interest Collapses

Macroeconomic concerns have added pressure to Celestia’s already weak market performance. The Federal Reserve maintained a cautious monetary policy stance on October 28. Meanwhile, September’s PCE inflation remained at 3.6% annually, matching expectations. This reading reinforced concerns about prolonged restrictive interest rates. Higher borrowing costs often discourage investors from pursuing riskier assets. Consequently, altcoins have faced renewed selling pressure across the broader market.

Interestingly, TIA’s trading volume moved higher despite the price decline. Volume increased 38.04% to $72.72 million during the period. This surge highlights increased market activity during the sell-off. However, higher volume alone cannot confirm whether sellers controlled every transaction. Derivatives data paints a more concerning picture for Celestia. According to CoinGlass, Open Interest dropped 28.60% to $75.86 million. This decline suggests traders reduced their outstanding derivatives positions.

However, falling Open Interest cannot independently confirm forced liquidations. The contraction nevertheless points toward weaker speculative participation. Traders appear increasingly reluctant to maintain leveraged exposure during the downturn. Spot and futures market data also reinforce the bearish outlook. CryptoQuant’s Spot Taker Cumulative Volume Delta (CVD) showed taker-sell dominance. The Futures Taker CVD revealed similar selling behavior across derivatives markets.

TIA Loses $0.47 Support as Bears Target Lower Levels

Celestia’s daily chart also highlights growing downside risks. TIA recently broke below the crucial $0.4727 support level. Before the breakdown, sellers rejected an attempted recovery around $0.5548. The Parabolic SAR indicator remains above the current price. The indicator stood near $0.6616, maintaining a bearish signal. Meanwhile, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) dropped to 39.44.

The RSI also remained below the indicator’s moving average. This development suggests weakening buying momentum and limited recovery strength. With $0.4727 now acting as resistance, bears could maintain control. The next major support sits around $0.3277. A continued decline could expose this level to another test.

However, buyers still have an opportunity to challenge the bearish outlook. TIA must reclaim $0.4727 to ease immediate selling pressure. Such a recovery could open another move toward $0.5548. For now, declining Open Interest and persistent taker selling favor sellers. Unless buyers regain control, Celestia could face further losses.
