Mars Finance reports that the modular blockchain project Celestia has launched Eden, a high-performance EVM chain running on Celestia. Celestia states that Eden will serve as an experimental sandbox for “Agentic Commerce,” designed to test the behavior and infrastructure requirements of AI agents when autonomously making on-chain payments, executing trades, and invoking models. Celestia notes that as AI agents begin participating in more frequent on-chain transactions, demand for block space, real-time settlement, and low-friction payments will continue to rise. Eden will help the team observe what kind of transaction environment agents require, how they manage funds, and how their on-chain behavior impacts network design. The first experimental project on Eden is Botfun, currently in closed testing. According to Celestia, agents participating in Botfun can issue their own tokens and trade based on narratives generated by other agents; each model inference call is paid for on-chain via x402. Celestia reports that this experiment briefly made Eden one of the largest x402 networks by transaction volume. Technically, Eden is an EVM-compatible chain supporting atomic batch transactions, application-sponsored gas, and larger smart contract deployments, with TIA as its native gas token. These features reduce the signature and fee friction agents encounter during continuous payment, exchange, and interaction operations.
Celestia Launches Eden EVM Chain for AI Agent Transaction Testing

Celestia has launched Eden, a high-performance EVM chain for AI and crypto news, built on its modular blockchain platform. Eden serves as a sandbox for testing AI agent behaviors in autonomous on-chain payments, transactions, and model calls. The project tracks how AI agents manage funds and interact with the network. Eden’s first experiment, Botfun, is in closed testing, enabling agents to issue tokens and trade based on narratives. Each model inference call is paid via x402. Eden supports atomic batch transactions, application-level gas payments, and larger smart contract deployments, using TIA as its native gas token. This on-chain development marks a significant step forward in AI agent advancement.
