According to Beating Monitor, the open-source model switching tool CC Switch has released v3.19.1, supporting the native Responses API for DeepSeek-V4-Flash. Users can enter their DeepSeek API key to directly invoke this model within Codex. Previous versions could also connect to DeepSeek, but required enabling CC Switch’s local routing to convert Codex requests into a different interface format. The new version connects directly to DeepSeek’s official API, eliminating the need for a backend proxy. Currently, only V4-Flash supports this direct connection. V4-Pro still requires the legacy routing, and DeepSeek plans to add the Responses API for V4-Pro in early August.
