As per Forklog, Cash App, a service with 57 million monthly users, will introduce USDC payments powered by the Solana blockchain in early 2026. A Block representative confirmed the feature is expected to launch next year, allowing users to send and receive digital dollars in seconds. The company also announced new Bitcoin payment functionality, including Lightning Network support, enabling users to pay with Bitcoin even if they don’t hold it directly. Miles Sutter, Block’s Bitcoin lead, stated that Cash App v2 is being built on Bitcoin, with stablecoins serving as upgraded fintech rails.
