CoinDesk reports:

Washington, October 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Casepoint, a provider of secure, unified government, legal, and compliance solutions, today announced the launch of AI Investigator, a new IQ Agent integrated into the Casepoint IQ™ suite and available within Casepoint eDiscovery. Designed for investigators in government agencies and enterprises, the product enables rapid narrowing of massive document sets to identify evidence that supports or refutes allegations, allowing investigators to form conclusions during investigations without requiring specialized training or technical expertise.

The rate at which investigative workloads are growing has outpaced the teams tasked with handling them. Data volumes continue to rise, and evidence is now typically scattered across emails, documents, audio, video, mobile data, and chat records.

Existing market solutions are inadequate. Forensic tools rely on highly specialized examiners, who are often difficult to obtain. Analysis platforms exceed the budgets of most investigative teams and also depend on scarce technical talent. eDiscovery platforms are typically designed for litigation, coming pre-equipped with litigation support teams—something that does not align with the actual needs of pre-litigation investigations. As a result, investigators often resort to manually reviewing documents in Outlook or SharePoint, only to discover too late that the case lacks substance—or worse, have missed critical evidence. If conclusions are reached too late or are incomplete, the reputation of the investigative department suffers.

Casepoint states that AI Investigator transforms this process through guided workflows designed around the actual investigation workflow. Investigators simply describe what they’re investigating, and AI Investigator surfaces the most relevant materials, extracts key facts, and annotates each fact with its source document while linking documents to core investigation themes. Timeline and data visualization tools present the complete story, allowing investigators to directly draft their final investigation reports within the same secure, scalable workspace—without needing to manually reconstruct everything in other tools.

Pete Feinberg, Chief Product Officer at Casepoint, said: “Investigators shouldn’t have to become data scientists just to do their jobs. Today, faced with growing caseloads, investigators often have to wait for reviewers or experts, or manually review documents one by one. With AI Investigator, investigators simply describe what they’re looking for; the system filters out key information and tags each fact with its source, allowing them to draw their own conclusions. Investigators excel at investigating—AI Investigator handles sorting and extracting facts, so they can focus on the case itself.”

AI Investigator, along with the Relevance Determination Agent and the Issue Coding Agent, forms the AI foundational capabilities of Casepoint IQ on the Casepoint Unified Platform. The product operates within the platform’s security boundaries and adheres to the client’s existing permissions, governance, and access controls. It scales to terabytes of data and can process audio, video, mobile, and chat data.

AI Investigator will be fully launched in November. To learn more or request a demo, visit casepoint.com/iq-agents.
