As per Biji Network, Cardano's core entities have submitted a proposal to allocate 70 million ADA from the treasury to fund key infrastructure upgrades. The initiative, led by the 'five-party mechanism' including IOG, Emurgo, the Cardano Foundation, Intersect, and the Midnight Foundation, aims to enhance DeFi, real-world asset tokenization, and institutional participation. The proposal includes funding for cross-chain bridges, pricing oracles, stablecoin infrastructure, institutional custody, and advanced on-chain analytics. The funds will undergo governance review and approval by elected representatives and the Constitutional Committee. The move follows a recent chain-split incident in 2022, highlighting the need for improved network resilience.
