ChainCatcher report, according to CoinDesk, Charles Hoskinson, founder of Cardano, announced at the Consensus Hong Kong conference that his long-developed privacy blockchain, Midnight, will officially launch in the last week of March, operating as a partner chain of Cardano. Midnight is built on zero-knowledge proof technology and employs a "selective disclosure" privacy model: users' transaction data remains private by default, with specific information disclosed only to authorized parties when necessary. This design aims to balance privacy protection and compliance requirements on the blockchain, supporting data access views with different permission levels such as public, audit, and regulatory. Hoskinson revealed that Google and Telegram have already joined as collaborators. The accompanying Midnight City Simulation test platform will be open to the public on February 26, using AI agents to simulate real transaction environments and validate the network's ability to generate and process proofs under large-scale scenarios.
