Capital B added 376 BTC to its treasury—the largest single purchase since June 2025—as it continues to position BTC as a hedge against inflation. The purchase was funded by a €7.6 million raise led by Adam Back, bringing total holdings to 3,521 BTC. The acquisition was executed by Swissquote Bank Europe, with Taurus providing custody. In August, the firm added only 6 BTC. This move occurs amid ongoing discussions regarding capital gains tax reforms in key markets.

The total value of the company’s entire Bitcoin reserve is €309.4 million ($359.3 million), at an average price of €87,878 ($102,058) per coin. The most recent cryptocurrency purchase was made at an average price of €67,182 (approximately $78,000) per coin, using funds raised from the recently completed funding round.

Capital B conducted securities offerings totaling €28.7 million ($33.3 million) with participation from major institutional investors, including asset manager TOBAM. On September 2, Capital B raised €7.6 million ($8.8 million) from Adam Back, co-founder of Blockstream, by selling 13.18 million shares.

Adding 376 BTC to its reserve marked Capital B’s largest single Bitcoin purchase since June 2025, when the company acquired 624 BTC. In February, Capital B’s reserve held 2,828 BTC, increasing to 3,139 BTC by June. Over the next two months, Capital B significantly reduced its cryptocurrency purchases. On August 3, Capital B bought just 1 BTC, and on August 17, acquired five more coins, bringing its total Bitcoin holdings to 3,145. These five Bitcoin purchases were executed at an average price of €55,882 ($64,899) per coin.

Thanks to the recent acquisition of 376 BTC, Capital B’s strategic reserve of the first cryptocurrency has increased by nearly 12% compared to the reserve recorded on August 17. The purchase of 376 BTC was facilitated by Swissquote Bank Europe, a Luxembourg-registered bank, and the storage infrastructure for the coins is provided by the Swiss company Taurus. In addition to 3,521 BTC, Capital B holds another 61 BTC designated for operational needs, which are stored separately from its strategic reserve.

At the end of August, the investment firm Strive purchased 1,800 bitcoins, and Strategy, the largest public holder of Bitcoin, acquired 4,603 BTC after a two-month pause. Strategy’s management explained that the company makes cryptocurrency purchase decisions independently of its price, based instead on the cost of capital.
