CoinDesk reports:

Cancore is a platform built on the Canton Network, dedicated to connecting tokenized assets with public blockchain liquidity. The company has announced the completion of a $7.2 million seed round led by Paper Ventures, dao5, ArkStream Capital, X Ventures, MH Ventures, and Proof of Talk.

The platform has been live on the Canton mainnet since April 2026, serving as both a validator and a Featured App.

According to Cancore, as of October 1, the platform had processed a cumulative trading volume exceeding $53.2 million, with over 84,000 transactions and generating more than $538,000 in protocol revenue.

Cancore is developing infrastructure to connect Canton's native assets, including tokenized real-world assets (RWAs), with liquidity on public blockchain networks.

The company describes its approach as a "Liquidity OS for Tokenized Finance," aiming to enable the execution and trading of tokenized financial assets across different blockchain ecosystems.

Ye Su, General Partner at ArkStream, said: “Canton has built a strong institutional-grade foundation, and the next step is to open up to broader market liquidity. Cancore has taken a pragmatic approach, generating real trading volume and revenue from day one. We’re excited to support a team focused on real usage rather than hype.”

Cancore uses atomic settlement to execute transactions between Canton and its supported public blockchain networks.

The company stated that such transactions either complete in full or fail without partial execution.

Users retain control of their private keys through Cancore’s self-custodial wallet, and its exchange structure is designed to either settle on two networks or issue a refund.

The platform also supports automated execution through a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, allowing users to automate platform operations and delegate tasks to AI systems.

Cancore plans to further expand these capabilities, enabling users to build and deploy their own trading agents to execute strategies, rebalance portfolios, allocate capital, and interact with liquidity.

In addition to advancing its agency trading infrastructure, Cancore plans to add more real-world assets (RWA) and liquidity to Canton.

Wasif Rashid, Co-founder and CEO of Cancore, said: “Tokenization is bringing an increasing number of financial assets onto the blockchain, but the next step is making these assets programmable. The future we see is users deploying capital between tokenized assets and using agents to execute strategies and manage positions on their behalf.”

The broader goal is to enable trading agents to interact with Canton-native assets, tokenized real-world assets, and public chain liquidity through a single execution layer.

Cancore will use this $7.2 million seed funding to expand to additional blockchain networks and liquidity sources, while continuing to develop its agency trading, security, and settlement infrastructure.

Danish Chaudhry, General Partner at Paper Ventures, said: “In traditional markets, significant value is concentrated in the infrastructure that enables capital to flow across venues: clearing, settlement, prime brokerage. The tokenized market will require the same layer, which currently almost does not exist between Canton and public blockchains. Cancore is building it to the security standards expected by institutions, and we believe this team is well-positioned to define how tokenized capital flows across networks.”

This expansion will build on its existing connectivity capabilities. Currently, Cancore supports Canton, EVM-compatible networks, and Tron.
