In July this year, ByteDong launched the Seedance 2.5 video AI model domestically, building upon the unified multimodal audiovisual generation architecture of Seedance 2.0, with a focus on enhancing long-form storytelling, multimodal reference, and editing capabilities. Seedance 2.5 increases the single-generation video duration from 15 seconds to 30 seconds and supports iterative extensions. The company states that the model can organize multiple logically connected shots within 30 seconds, enabling stories to unfold through setup, progression, turning points, and resolution.
