BUILDon shows early bullish signs after rebounding from a key demand zone. Short liquidations hit $11.3K in 24 hours, nearly double longs. Trading volume jumped 70% to $5.14 million. Longs control 60% of the derivatives market. The token remains below its 20-day EMA at $0.163, a key level for further upside.

BUILDon has been showing early signs of renewed bullish momentum after bouncing from the demand zone between $0.095 and $0.14. In fact, at press time, derivatives and spot-market activity seemed to point to stronger buyer participation.

The network’s short liquidations were flying to the roof too as long positions dominated the market’s open positions. Could positive on-chain sentiments provide the spark needed to break past the key price level? Let’s find out!

BUILDon’s on-chain metrics lean bullish

According to Coinglass, there were short liquidations valued at $11.3K across BUILDon network in the last 24 hours. This hinted at figures valued at around two times the amount of long liquidations.

This indicated that the bears’ positions were being pressured by the bulls who want to reclaim control. The counter-effects of the development could be seen on the altcoin’s price action in the short-run.

That not all though as the network’s Spot market activity has been picking up too. Its 24-hour Spot Volume surged by 70% to $5.14 million while the token’s market cap hit $159 million.

This mirrored an increase in market activity and volatility, which is key for the anticipated breakout to materialize.

Bulls gain an edge in the derivatives market

The altcoin’s bullish case can be reinforced by its long/short positioning too. On the 1-hour timeframe, long positions constituted 60.08% whereas shorts made up 39.92%.

The ratio on the 1-day timeframe was quite similar too, with long positions constituting 59.54%. Such a ratio usually means that traders may be becoming more confident of further bullish advances.

Can BUILDon reclaim the 20-day EMA?

On the daily chart, BUILDon was trading at around $0.154 at press time, below its 20-day EMA near $0.163. Therefore, the moving average remains the immediate technical hurdle for buyers to take control.

A decisive daily close above this level could strengthen the recovery and expose higher resistance around the $0.20-zone to the bull radar. On the contrary, a failure to reclaim the 20-day EMA could send the altcoin back towards the $0.14-$0.095 demand zone.

  • With longs holding a 60% majority, BUILDon bulls are now targeting the resistance at around $0.250.
