The BTC price movement forced a major whale on Hyperliquid to adjust its buying strategy after a recent surge left its initial $76.88 million order untriggered. On September 4, the whale canceled its three-tier buy wall between $71,111 and $75,777 and shifted to a new level at $77,888, placing a $74.52 million buy order for 956.85 BTC. This represents a 2.8% upward adjustment from the previous top buy level. During the same period, the whale sold 28.05 BTC for $64,000, reducing its holdings by 26.4% to 78.31 BTC. Sell orders above $84,509 remain active, totaling $70.32 million across 163 orders.

ME News report, September 8 (UTC+8): According to TradingBeats monitoring, the large whale previously tracked on Hyperliquid with the address starting in 0xf517 has readjusted its previous setup for buying BTC on pullbacks. On September 2, this address still had three-tier buy orders totaling approximately $76.88 million placed between $71,111 and $75,777, aiming to purchase $76 million worth of BTC, with a profit-taking grid of $70 million above. However, BTC rose directly, and none of the original three-tier buy orders were filled; all were canceled on September 4. Now, this whale has significantly raised its buy levels: it currently holds only a single buy order of 956.85 BTC at $77,888, valued at approximately $74.527 million. This represents an increase of about $2,111 (2.8%) from its previous highest acceptance price of $75,777; at today’s BTC price, only a 1.4% pullback is needed to trigger it. During the period of missed opportunities and position expansion, the whale has also slightly realized profits from its existing position, cumulatively taking profit on 28.05 BTC for a gain of approximately $64,000. Current holdings have decreased to 78.31 BTC, representing a reduction of about 26.4%. However, the original profit-taking plan above remains unchanged: a “position-reduction only” sell order of approximately $6.96 million still stands at $88,888, and 163 regular sell orders totaling approximately $70.32 million remain between $84,509 and $108,720.
