Odaily Planet Daily reports: Following regulatory approval from Luxembourg, Bridge Building, the Luxembourg entity of Stripe’s stablecoin infrastructure company Bridge, has been added to the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) register. According to an update published Wednesday by the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), with Bridge’s inclusion, the number of MiCA-authorized electronic money token (EMT) issuers on the EU register has increased to 42. On July 2, Bridge announced it had received from Luxembourg’s Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) both a MiCA-authorized Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) license and an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license. Mai Leduc Blount, Head of Products at Bridge, stated that these approvals enable EU-based companies to build stablecoins and payment products under a regulated framework. The same ESMA update also added three new German CASP entries—Volksbank Die Gestalterbank, VBU Volksbank im Unterland, and VR-Bank Erding—bringing the total number of authorized CASPs on the EU register to 324. The number of authorized Asset-Referenced Token (ART) issuers remains unchanged, with no ART issuers currently listed.
