According to 528btc, BOLTS Technologies has launched a pilot project on the Canton Network to explore quantum resilience for blockchain transactions. The initiative aims to protect over $6 trillion in real-world assets (RWA) using BOLTS' QFlex software, which offers encryption agility to counter future quantum threats. The Canton Network, a public, permissionless blockchain for institutional finance, will test QFlex's ability to provide quantum-safe transaction security. BOLTS CEO Yen Ao emphasized the urgency of addressing quantum risks, given the scale of institutional digital assets involved. The pilot leverages QFlex's Structured Data Folding and Transformation (SDFT) protocol, which allows real-time encryption adjustments per transaction, unlike static or hybrid solutions. Digital Asset's CPO Bernhard Ehrler praised QFlex's flexibility for subnetworks, supporting seamless DLT 2030 adoption.
