ChainCatcher report: Ido Ben-Natan, co-founder of Web3 security platform Blockaid, posted on X that since the release of the first-half report in August, the number of on-chain cybersecurity incidents has continued to set monthly all-time highs. Attackers targeting on-chain infrastructure for profit yield the highest returns, and this trend will become more severe as AI agents gain access to greater funds. According to Fortune, Ben-Natan stated that the company is currently experiencing its “busiest period ever,” partly due to a significant increase in cyberattacks. Additionally, Nansen CEO Alex Svanevik predicts that by 2028, trading crypto assets via AI agents rather than manual interface interactions will become the norm.

Blockaid co-founder Ido Ben-Natan said on-chain data shows cybersecurity incidents on blockchain networks are reaching monthly record levels. Since the first-half report in August, attacks have surged, driven by high returns for hackers. As more funds flow to AI agents, the threat is expected to grow. Ben-Natan noted the company is currently busier than ever due to the rising number of attacks. Nansen CEO Alex Svanevik added that on-chain analysis will become increasingly critical as AI agents come to dominate crypto trading by 2028.
