Bitwise backs Strategy in push against MSCI’s plan to remove 39 DATs from global indices. The proposal targets firms with 50%+ digital asset holdings, including Bitcoin-focused companies like MSTR. Bitwise called the move a “subjective eligibility criteria” and warned it could hinder access to the digital asset market. The list includes 24 U.S. firms and others from China and Japan. A petition in support of Strategy has drawn 619 signatures so far. Altcoins to watch may face ripple effects from index changes.
