Key Insights:
- Bitmine added 27,180 ETH, lifting its Ethereum holdings to 5.96 million tokens.
- More than 5.06 million ETH is staked, representing about 85% of Bitmine’s holdings.
- Ethereum could target $3,000 if tightening supply supports a confirmed breakout.
BitMine Immersion Technologies added another 27,180 ETH during the past week, lifting its Ethereum holdings to 5.96 million tokens. The company now controls about 4.9% of Ethereum’s reported 122 million-token supply.
BitMine also has more than 5 million ETH locked in staking. That gives the company exposure to both Ethereum price movements and staking revenue.
Ethereum, meanwhile, traded near $2,500 on Sept. 15. ETH remained below the key $2,550 resistance area, leaving traders focused on whether the latest recovery can develop into a broader breakout.
Ethereum News: Bitmine Treasury Nears 5% of ETH Supply
Bitmine reported 5,956,378 ETH as of September 13, valued at about $15 billion using an ETH price of $2,513. The latest purchase extended the company’s weekly accumulation strategy, which began in June 2025. Bitmine said it has bought ETH every week since launching its Ethereum treasury plan.
The company also holds 212 Bitcoin, a $180 million stake in Beast Industries, and a $98 million stake in Eightco Holdings. Cash and marketable securities totaled $549 million. Combined holdings reached $15.8 billion, according to the company’s weekly update.

Bitmine’s Ethereum position now sits just below its stated goal of owning 5% of the network’s supply. The company said the current treasury equals 4.9% of the 122 million ETH supply. That places Bitmine as the largest publicly listed Ethereum treasury by reported holdings.
That scale gives weekly purchases a direct effect on Bitmine’s treasury balance. Each acquisition adds to an already large position held through the company’s strategy.
Staked ETH Passes 5 Million Tokens
Bitmine also continues to move a large share of its ETH into staking. As of September 7, the company reported having 5,067,309 ETH staked. That figure represents about 85% of its total Ethereum holdings and carries a stated value of $12.7 billion.
The company said its staking operations produced a seven-day annualized yield of 2.62%. Based on the current staked balance, Bitmine projects about $334 million in annualized staking revenue. It expects the figure to rise if more of its ETH is staked.
Bitmine uses its MAVAN validator network alongside other staking partners. The company built MAVAN to support its treasury strategy and later opened the infrastructure to institutions and ecosystem partners. This part of the Ethereum news adds another layer to Bitmine’s exposure beyond simple token ownership.
Ethereum Price Prediction Focuses on $2,550
Ethereum traded above $2,500 on Monday after recovering from lower levels seen earlier in the summer. The weekly chart shows ETH crypto testing resistance around $2,545 to $2,550. Price also sits above the 50-week exponential moving average near $2,386 and the 50-week simple moving average near $2,470.
Ethereum price prediction points to the next resistance area near $2,800 if ETH closes above the current barrier. A rejection could shift attention back toward support near $2,387. Lower support appears around $2,155 and $1,965, with another marked level near $1,713.

Tom DeMark, a capital markets adviser to Bitmine, said he expects a sharp upward move in the coming weeks. He pointed to Ethereum’s August trading pattern and said the market avoided a downside break. His view follows ETH’s recent rebound from the June low.
ETH/BTC Ratio Adds Another Market Signal
Bitmine Chairman Tom Lee said the ETH/BTC ratio reached its highest level since January 30. He also said the pair broke above a trendline that had limited Ethereum’s relative performance since the COVID-era market cycle.
Lee linked the move to rising institutional interest in tokenization and blockchain-based financial activity. He also said Ethereum outperformed the S&P 500 by 5,866 basis points during the third quarter through the previous Friday.
For Ethereum price prediction, the near-term focus now sits on whether ETH can hold above its weekly moving averages. A confirmed break above $2,550 would bring the $2,800 area into view.
