ChainThink news: On September 12, according to a post on X platform, analyst Murphy analyzed that Bitcoin's difficulty breaking through $82,000 is related to its筹码 structure.
Short-term holder (STH) positioning is concentrated between $59,000 and $81,000. A breakout above $82,000 would mean all STHs are in profit, prompting some short-term speculative capital to take profits, creating the first layer of selling pressure.
Long-term holders (LTHs) have a widely distributed coin distribution, but the most concentrated holding peak is between $81,000 and $82,000, where some may have become passive long-term holders after being trapped following their purchases. As prices approach breakeven levels, these holders may exit, creating a second layer of selling pressure.
Additionally, whale holders with more than 100,000 BTC have positions clustered primarily between $78,000 and $82,000, with only two holdings near $40,000.
Murphy believes that a short-term breakout above $82,000 faces resistance, and the market needs time to absorb分歧 and supply; once it regains momentum and breaks through successfully, the resistance ahead could significantly weaken.
