Odaily Planet Daily report: Cryptocurrency analyst Darkfost stated that Bitcoin’s short-term holders (STH) saw a significant increase in profits yesterday, with their average cost basis now near $76,000, testing this group’s confidence in holding. The STH MVRV indicator is currently approaching the neutral level of 1, after rising above 1.18 in late September to reach its highest level since July 2025, indicating that short-term holders previously held the highest level of unrealized profits in over a year.
Darkfost noted that the cost basis of short-term holders has been rising since mid-August, when it was around $67,500, reflecting this group's continuous entry during Bitcoin's price rally. As Bitcoin's medium-term trend turns positive, the MVRV returning to around 1 may become a key price zone for short-term holders to act: some investors may choose to buy more, while others may exit at a loss due to lack of confidence—ultimately, it remains to be seen which force will dominate the market.
