Bitcoin’s 2026 price target remains a topic of debate among analysts. Bitwise’s Ryan Rasmussen sees a pathway to $100,000, citing demand from spot Bitcoin ETFs, corporate purchases, and regulatory advancements. LO:TECH’s Adam Morgan McCarthy forecasts a range of $85,000 to $95,000, influenced by inflation and Fed policy. Laser Digital’s Luca Invernizzi emphasizes macroeconomic factors and Treasury yields, while CoinShares’ James Butterfill highlights tensions between inflation and labor data. Approval of a Bitcoin ETF could shift market sentiment.

Odaily Planet Daily report: Market analysts are divided on whether Bitcoin can return to $100,000 before the end of 2026.

Ryan Rasmussen, Head of Research at Bitwise, an asset management company specializing in cryptocurrencies, believes that demand from institutions via ETFs and corporate Bitcoin purchases, concerns over inflation and government debt, and an improved regulatory environment could drive Bitcoin to higher levels by year-end, potentially surpassing $100,000.

Adam Morgan McCarthy, Research Director at LO:TECH, a London-based cryptocurrency trading and market data firm, expects Bitcoin to trade primarily between $85,000 and $95,000 by year-end. He noted that inflationary pressures and the potential for further Federal Reserve rate hikes will continue to weigh on Bitcoin’s performance. U.S. consumer prices rose 0.6% month-over-month in September, with core CPI up 0.3%, adding complexity to the monetary policy outlook.

Luca Invernizzi, senior derivatives trader at Laser Digital, Nomura’s crypto business, said that Bitcoin will remain primarily influenced by macroeconomic factors and U.S. long-term Treasury yields in the short term. However, market leverage has been significantly reduced, and a sustained breakout above $90,000 could trigger a new wave of short covering. James Butterfill, Chief Research Officer at CoinShares, also believes that the contradiction between inflation and a weakening labor market will impact the Fed’s future policy decisions and Bitcoin’s price movement.
