Citing Cointribune, Bitcoin mining is experiencing its worst crisis in 15 years as the hashprice has dropped to $35/PH/s, making mining barely profitable. In November 2025, miners saw a 20.9% revenue decline, with major players like CleanSpark and Bitfarms struggling to stay afloat. The industry is also shifting focus toward artificial intelligence and high-performance computing (HPC) as seven of the top ten miners by power already generate revenue from these fields. The next Bitcoin halving is expected in about 850 days, but many machines will not break even before then. Miners are increasingly turning to deleveraging and securing new financing to adapt to the changing landscape.
