Ethereum ETFs also posted $168.13 million in daily inflows. The combined flows across Bitcoin and Ethereum products reached $865.38 million for the session.
BlackRock Dominates Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF Flows
Bitcoin ETFs saw broad-based inflows across multiple products on January 5. BlackRock’s IBIT led with $372.47 million, adding 3,950 BTC to holdings.
The product maintains $62.75 billion in cumulative inflows and total net assets exceeding $67 billion. IBIT accounts for 53.4% of the day’s total Bitcoin ETF inflows.
Fidelity’s FBTC posted the second-largest Bitcoin gains with $191.19 million, acquiring 2,030 BTC. The product holds $12.39 billion in cumulative inflows and $17.81 billion in total assets.
Bitwise’s BITB attracted $38.45 million with 407.53 BTC added. ARK 21Shares’ ARKB recorded $36.03 million in inflows, adding 381.81 BTC.

Grayscale Bitcoin Mini Trust (BTC) saw $17.92 million in inflows, acquiring 189.93 BTC. Invesco’s BTCO posted $15.02 million with 159.15 BTC added.
Franklin’s EZBC recorded $13.64 million, adding 144.61 BTC. Valkyrie’s BRRR raised $7.19 million, acquiring 76.22 BTC. VanEck’s HODL posted $5.34 million in inflows, adding 56.56 BTC.
Three products reported zero flows. Grayscale’s GBTC, WisdomTree’s BTCW, and Hashdex’s DEFI all showed no activity.
Total Bitcoin ETF cumulative inflows reached $57.78 billion with total net assets at $123.52 billion.
Ethereum ETFs Extend Recovery With $168M Inflows
Ethereum ETFs recorded $168.13 million in net inflows on January 5, bringing cumulative flows to $12.67 billion.
Trading volume reached $2.24 billion with total net assets at $19.95 billion. All inflows came from five products while four reported zero activity.
BlackRock’s ETHA led Ethereum ETFs with $102.90 million in inflows, adding 31,740 ETH. The product maintains $12.72 billion in cumulative inflows, making it the largest Ethereum ETF.
ETHA accounted for 61.2% of the day’s total Ethereum ETF inflows. The strong performance continued BlackRock’s dominance across both Bitcoin and Ethereum products.

Grayscale ETH posted $22.34 million in inflows, acquiring 6,890 ETH. The product holds $1.56 billion in cumulative flows.
Fidelity’s FETH recorded $21.83 million with 6,730 ETH added, bringing cumulative inflows to $2.67 billion. Bitwise’s ETHW attracted $19.73 million, adding 6,090 ETH for cumulative flows of $433.49 million.
Grayscale ETHE saw modest inflows of $1.32 million with 408.65 ETH added. Four Ethereum ETF products reported zero activity: VanEck’s ETHV, Franklin’s EZET, 21Shares’ TETH, and Invesco’s QETH.
Three-Day Inflow Streak Totals $1.54B for Bitcoin
Bitcoin ETFs experienced three consecutive days of positive inflows from January 2 to January 5. January 2 saw $471.14 million in inflows, bringing cumulative flows to $57.08 billion.
January 5 added $697.25 million, pushing cumulative inflows to $57.78 billion. The three-day total reached $1.52 billion in net new capital.
The recovery reversed December’s volatile trading when Bitcoin ETFs recorded significant outflows. On December 31, $348.10 million in redemptions occurred. December 29 posted $19.29 million in losses.
December 26 marked the worst single day with $275.88 million in outflows. The seven-day period from December 18-29 produced combined losses exceeding $1.1 billion.
Ethereum ETFs Post $342M in Three-Day Gains
Ethereum ETFs experienced three consecutive positive sessions from January 2 to January 5. January 2 posted $174.43 million in inflows, the strongest single day.
January 5 added $168.13 million. The three-day total reached $342.56 million in net new capital. Cumulative flows increased from $12.50 billion on January 2 to $12.67 billion on January 5.
The recovery followed mixed December performance. On December 31, $72.06 million in outflows were recorded. December 30 recorded $67.84 million in gains.
December 29 posted $9.63 million in losses. The December period showed less consistency than January’s positive streak.
Total net assets increased from $19.05 billion on January 2 to $19.95 billion on January 5. The $900 million gain reflects both positive flows and Ethereum price movements.
