Key Insights:
- Fidelity’s FBTC led redemptions at $153.2 million as spot Bitcoin ETFs hit the largest weekly outflows since June.
- Tudor Investment increased its stake in BlackRock Bitcoin ETF (IBIT) by 18.9% to 688,529 during Q2 2026.
- Bitcoin faces weakening technical and market momentum, closing below the Weekly 200MA.
Spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded about $390 million in net outflows during the Aug. 10-14 trading week. The withdrawals marked the largest weekly outflows since June 2026 and reversed the strong start to August.
Bitcoin price also remained under pressure near $63,000. The cryptocurrency struggled to sustain moves above $65,000 while U.S. equities and gold showed stronger momentum.
Spot Bitcoin ETF Weekly Outflows Surge Again
U.S.-listed spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded their largest weekly outflows since late June. The 13 funds recorded a combined $389.7 million in net outflows during the week of August 10, according to Bloomberg data. This followed $853.5 million in net inflows during the previous week.

Fidelity’s FBTC led redemptions with $153.2 million in outflows, equivalent to approximately 2,438 BTC. GBTC saw $88.3 million in outflows, followed by IBIT at $78.9 million and ARKB at $70.3 million.
The only funds to record inflows were Grayscale Mini BTC, which attracted $76.0 million, and MSBT, with $7.1 million.
The last time spot Bitcoin ETFs saw outflows this severe was during the June 24 flush, when Bitcoin bottomed at $58.4K before buyers returned. If this week’s outflows are larger, the $58.4K level will be the key level to watch for BTC price.
The first week of August marked the ETFs’ strongest weekly inflow since April. This happened amid renewed concerns over the security of digital assets following a rare cold-wallet hack, which boosted interest in accessing Bitcoin through traditional financial products.
Tudor Investment Adds 109,446 BlackRock Bitcoin ETF’s IBIT Shares
While the US Bitcoin ETFs saw net outflows across all the listed Bitcoin ETFs, big financial players like Tudor Investments are repositioning their holdings. During Q2 2026, the firm increased its direct stake in BlackRock Bitcoin ETF.
As per the 13F filing submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) last Friday, August 14, Tudor Investment Corp. held 688,529 shares of the iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) valued at $22.9 million as of June 30.
However, during Q2 2026, the position increased by 109,446 shares, or 18.9%, from 579,083 shares at the end of March. The holdings are now worth around $24.5 million.
The firm also reported call options tied to 148,000 underlying IBIT shares, down 85.2% from 998,000 shares in March. Its put position edged down 1.4% to 715,000 underlying shares from 725,000.
The filing does not disclose the options’ strike prices or expiration dates. This means that the underlying share counts alone do not indicate Tudor’s directional exposure.
BTC Price Closes Below 200WMA, Volumes Dry Up
The BTC price has struggled to move above the $65,000 market this month. So far, in the past week, it’s been trading around $63,000 level. For the last week, Bitcoin gave a technical close under the important Weekly 200MA support.
Analyst Daan Crypto Trades said that a marginal close below such a level does not necessarily signal a breakdown. He said Bitcoin would need to make a larger move beyond the moving average and remain outside it for several consecutive weeks before the level could be considered decisively broken.

Meanwhile, the bull market support band has moved lower and is now at the same level as the Weekly 200EMA. Daan Crypto Trades also expects volatility to increase soon following the prolonged period of sideways movement in the crypto market.
Furthermore, analysts at 10x Research noted that Bitcoin trading volumes have fallen to a fraction of the levels seen after the U.S. presidential inauguration and during the October flash crash. Thus, BTC is now trading within its tightest range in months.

Options flows also point to shifting market conviction as traders adjust their positioning. Implied volatility has fallen to levels rarely seen outside the typical summer lull.
At the same time, ETF inflows remain tepid. MicroStrategy has turned into a seller for four consecutive weeks after being one of the market’s most consistent buyers over the past few years.
