Binance’s CZ said the next crypto breakout is hard to predict, despite strong momentum in RWA and AI. He highlighted growth in stablecoins, exchanges, and meme tokens. Top altcoins could emerge as AI firms explore token issuance to fund data centers, with some potentially offering tokens for future computing power.

Huoxing Finance reports that at the Bitcoin Asia 2026 conference in Hong Kong, Changpeng Zhao stated that both the RWA and AI sectors are currently experiencing strong momentum. Previously growing sectors such as stablecoins, centralized exchanges, decentralized exchanges, and meme tokens will continue to grow, and NFTs may return in some form. It is difficult to predict the next breakout point—just as it was impossible to foresee the token boom in early 2017, or the NFT surge six months before it occurred; these developments must be created by entrepreneurs. He also noted that when billions of AI agents begin autonomously buying, selling, negotiating, and transacting in the future, the funds they use will undoubtedly be cryptocurrencies, likely starting with stablecoins and gradually integrating other blockchain assets such as Bitcoin. He has already discussed with several top AI companies the possibility of issuing tokens, as building data centers requires massive capital—approximately $30 to $50 billion per gigawatt of computing power. Some AI companies plan to build hundreds of gigawatts of computing capacity over the next few years, prompting them to consider issuing data center tokens that would grant holders future rights to access computing power. Additionally, payment use cases for AI agents may lag behind trading applications; currently, AI companies are primarily focused on enabling agents to identify optimal trading strategies, as trading scenarios demand rapid information processing and can improve trading efficiency by approximately tenfold.
