Bill Ackman’s Pershing Square to Launch New Venture Fund Targeting Pre-IPO AI Startups

Bill Ackman’s investment firm, Pershing Square, is preparing to launch a new fund to give investors access to unlisted, high-growth companies. Pershing Square has already initiated the setup process for “Pershing Square Ventures.” The fund will operate on a “permanent capital” model, allowing long-term holdings in portfolio companies and continued ownership even after they go public. In a letter to shareholders, Ackman and Pershing Square’s Chief Investment Officer, Ryan Israel, stated that the new fund aims to capture investment opportunities in pre-IPO companies and expand the firm’s investment scope beyond public markets. Pershing Square has not yet disclosed the fund’s target size, detailed investment strategy, or specific fundraising timeline.
