Bhutan Commits 10,000 BTC to Develop 'Mindfulness City'

Bhutan will use 10,000 BTC (about $875 million) to build the Greater Mindfulness City. The country holds 11,286 BTC, valued at over $986 million, ranking fifth globally. The 1,544-square-mile zone in southern Bhutan will launch in 2024, targeting finance, technology, and tourism use cases. The 20-year plan includes a gold-backed sovereign token, TER. Technology and job creation will drive the project’s growth.
