Ethereum news broke as the Bank of Japan raised its key rate to 0.75% on December 19, 2025, the highest in 30 years. Despite the move, Bitcoin held above $86,800 and Ethereum above $2,900. The fear and greed index showed little panic, as the market had already priced in the hike. Japan’s inflation eased slightly, while weak yen and softer U.S. data kept crypto markets calm.
