Derived from TheCCPress, Balancer is recovering $128 million lost in a recent exploit targeting its v2 pools. The team, alongside whitehat hackers, has identified $8 million for direct reimbursement to impacted users, with StakeWise recovering an additional $19.7 million in staking tokens. The exploit, caused by a rounding error in Stable Pools, led to a 2% rise in BAL token price post-announcement. A claims portal allows users to verify balances and receive refunds after signing a legal waiver.
