In accordance with 36 Crypto, Balancer, a decentralized exchange and automated portfolio manager, is proposing to distribute $8 million to liquidity providers (LPs) affected by a major exploit earlier this month. The exploit drained over $128 million from Balancer’s vaults, but $28 million was recovered, including $3.86 million by six white hat actors who will receive bounties capped at $1 million each. The funds will be distributed pro-rata based on BPT holdings at the time of the exploit. A 180-day claim window is set for users and white hats, with unclaimed assets requiring a governance decision for reallocation.
