The 163.29% rally in AURORA appears to be driven primarily by broader crypto-market recovery, expanding altcoin demand and the repricing of a previously depressed asset. The recent adoption of Aurora Intents provides fundamental support, although the timing does not indicate that it directly triggered the latest surge.

KuCoin Flash reports that, as of publication, AURORA/USDT is trading at 0.05616 USDT, up 163.29% over the past 24 hours. KuCoin recorded a high of 0.06223 USDT and a low of 0.02096 USDT, with trading volume reaching approximately 46.78 million AURORA, equivalent to about 2.11 million USDT. The current price stands roughly 167.94% above the daily low and 9.75% below the high, leaving the token in an elevated consolidation range following the initial surge.

Aurora is an EVM-compatible network running on NEAR Protocol. Its infrastructure includes Aurora Engine, Aurora Cloud, Aurora Chains and cross-contract communication tools, allowing Ethereum applications to deploy without rewriting their smart contracts while accessing the performance and interoperability features of the wider NEAR ecosystem.

Recent development has centered on Aurora Intents. On August 13, Aurora Labs announced an integration with COCA, a self-custodial financial application used by more than one million people across 75 countries. The integration allows users to fund their accounts from multiple blockchains through reusable deposit addresses, while Aurora Intents handles cross-chain routing and execution in the background. At the time of the announcement, Aurora Intents had processed more than $27 million, while the underlying NEAR Intents network had routed more than $24 billion across chains.

The integration was announced more than a month before the latest price move, however, making it a fundamental milestone rather than a same-day catalyst. The trading pattern instead resembles a broad repricing of an asset that had remained near depressed levels for an extended period. The breakout was accompanied by a substantial increase in volume, suggesting that renewed market participation amplified the move.

The wider market has provided a supportive backdrop. Bitcoin recently returned above $87,000 as capital moved back into risk assets, while smaller cryptocurrencies recorded stronger percentage gains and total crypto market capitalization rose to approximately $2.8 trillion. Glassnode has also observed that the Bitcoin-led recovery is spreading into the broader altcoin market. Against that backdrop, the relatively low liquidity and previously compressed valuation of AURORA created greater sensitivity to incoming capital.
