ChainCatcher report: Recently, the Aster team provided feedback to RootData regarding certain adjustments needed for the previously reported token unlock data. After receiving this feedback, RootData cross-verified the information against Aster’s official documentation and multiple other token unlock data platforms, and found no significant discrepancies between the previously recorded data and the publicly available documents at the time.
Subsequently, RootData engaged in further communication with the official Aster team and updated the token vesting data for Aster on our platform based on the latest confirmed information from the project team. Currently, some third-party token vesting data platforms have not yet synchronized with this official document update, and RootData has become one of the earliest platforms to complete the relevant data update.
This update primarily affects the Airdrop and Ecosystem & Community categories, with the following specific changes:
I. Redistribution of Airdrop Categories: Split into "Founding Airdrop" and "Governance Airdrop"
Based on the latest confirmed information from Aster, RootData has split the original airdrop category into "Founding Airdrop" and "Governance Airdrop".
Previously, official documentation stated that after the Aster TGE, eligible participants will immediately receive 8.8% of their total allocation, with the remaining tokens in this category being gradually released over the next 80 months, with the exact release schedule potentially subject to adjustment via protocol governance.
The latest official documentation states: Remaining ASTER tokens in this category will be retained for airdrops, but the protocol’s governance body may adjust these arrangements in the future.
Therefore, RootData will no longer track the unlocking data for the governance airdrop portion based on a fixed release schedule; instead, it will be dynamically updated according to official announcements and governance decisions from Aster.
II. Adjustment of Ecosystem & Community Categories: Split into Ecosystem & Community 1 and Ecosystem & Community 2
Previously, the Aster ecosystem and community allocations (excluding the APX-to-ASTER exchange portion) followed a linear vesting schedule, planned to unlock over 20 months. This model was implemented for four months (October 2025 to January 2026), after which it was adjusted to a staking-based reward distribution model.
Under Aster’s current staking mechanism, users who lock their tokens for longer periods receive higher loyalty reward APY. Since this allocation mechanism has shifted from a fixed linear vesting schedule to a staking incentive model, RootData will no longer track the original fixed unlock schedule for Ecosystem & Community 2 and will instead adjust according to the latest official announcements.
It is reported that Aster completed its token genesis event (TGE) on September 17, 2025. Since its launch, Aster has made multiple adjustments to its token economic model, including extending the team token lock-up period by 12 months, modifying the release schedule for ecosystem and community tokens, and redefining the governance framework for remaining airdrop tokens.
RootData notes that adjusting the token economic model according to the project’s development stage and governance needs is a common industry practice; the key lies in whether the project team can promptly and transparently disclose such changes. RootData also encourages project teams to proactively submit token unlock schedules and updates to help the community and users better understand token supply and release dynamics.
Aster Updates Token Unlock Plan; RootData Adjusts Data Following Official Confirmation
ChaincatcherShare
Aster revised its token unlock plan after RootData reviewed its inflation data and confirmed no major issues. Following discussions, RootData updated its records to align with Aster’s latest official details. The Airdrop category is now split into 'Founding Airdrop' and 'Governance Airdrop,' with the latter no longer tracked under a fixed schedule. The Ecosystem & Community section has also been updated, with the second portion transitioning to a staking-based model. These changes reflect Aster’s ongoing adjustments to its tokenomics since its TGE on September 17, 2025. New token listings on exchanges are expected to follow these updates.
