Based on Blockbeats, Aster, a decentralized derivatives trading platform, held a community AMA on November 10, 2025, where CEO Leonard outlined the company's roadmap, including the development of a privacy-centric Layer 1 (L1) blockchain. Leonard emphasized Aster's mission to rebuild the centralized exchange (CEX) experience on-chain, addressing the need for a blockchain that supports order book logic and privacy features. The L1 is expected to enter internal testing by the end of 2025 and launch on mainnet in Q1 2026. The platform also announced new features such as hidden orders, a new buyback system, spot trading, and stock and index perpetuals. Leonard highlighted the importance of privacy for institutional traders and the economic model of the L1, which will offer near-zero gas fees and incentivize validators and stakers. The AMA also covered token utility, liquidity strategies, and global expansion plans.
