According to Huoxing Finance, on August 19, Arthur Hayes posted that the FLOP whitepaper has not yet been released because the team is still engaging with relevant stakeholders to ensure the final design is sufficiently robust in both technical architecture and tokenomics. The team chose to announce FLOP early to gather more feedback. Starting next week, a series of simple yet informative charts outlining FLOP’s tokenomics design will be gradually released. Previously, Arthur Hayes announced he was ending his retirement to lead Flop Labs and launch the FLOP token. He stated that FLOP will serve as “food for AI agents,” with no pre-sale or venture capital involvement, adopting a 100% fair launch model to create the currency of the Agentic Economy. A large-scale airdrop is expected in Q4 2026, with the genesis block slated for Q1 2027.
