Arthur Hayes said Maelstrom is at maximum risk exposure, with a strong risk-to-reward profile in Bitcoin, Ether, Ethena, and Ether.fi. He expects Bitcoin to rise despite shifts in U.S. dollar liquidity. Bentsen’s expanded Treasury repurchase programs could enhance liquidity and support risk assets. Hayes noted that support and resistance levels may tighten as yields approach 5%, potentially prompting further Treasury action.

ChainThink reports that on August 25, Arthur Hayes posted that the Maelstrom Fund is now at "maximum exposure," with core bets placed on Bitcoin, Ether, Ethena, and Ether.fi.

Hayes believes that regardless of whether U.S. Treasury Secretary Bentsen increases dollar liquidity quickly or slowly, Bitcoin will continue to rise, but market volatility will intensify; therefore, leverage should not be used unless one is a full-time trader.

He also noted that Bessent's recent expansion of long-term U.S. Treasury repurchase operations could further increase dollar liquidity and drive up Bitcoin and other risk assets.

Hayes expects that if U.S. Treasury yields approach 5% again, the U.S. Treasury may further expand its repurchase operations or take other measures to increase dollar liquidity.
