Apple Sues Former Engineer for Alleged Data Leak; OpenAI Releases Chat Logs in Defense
KuCoinFlashShare
Apple has filed a lawsuit against former engineer Chang Liu, accusing him of exploiting system vulnerabilities to access internal cloud storage and download confidential files, allegedly to benefit OpenAI’s hardware development. OpenAI released chat logs showing that Apple employees continued using Liu’s devices to transfer files and seek information after his departure. The logs reveal that Apple colleagues directly contacted Liu, stating he was the best person to consult despite no longer being employed. Apple also claims Liu abused another authentication flaw and that hardware head Tang Tan requested supplier details. OpenAI disputes certain aspects of the allegations. The case adds another twist to crypto news, as legal battles increasingly intersect with data security amid evolving inflation data in the tech and digital asset sectors.
