IT Home, October 11 news: Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman revealed in today’s new issue of the “Power On” newsletter that Apple’s first smart home hub is named “HomeView,” with an expected official launch at the “Welcome Home” event on October 13 and shipping set for November.

According to reports, the product’s design resembles the iMac G4 “lamp computer,” featuring a floating screen with a speaker base below. The device will be powered by the A18 chip, and an official wall-mount version will also be released.
IT Home learned from the original report that this new product will be available in four color options: Deep Space Gray, Silver, Starlight, and Pink, while the wall-mounted version is available only in Deep Space Gray and Silver.

Gurman stated that the product primarily uses voice interaction, centered around AI Siri. Users can view the device’s display from across the room, and the product will run Apple’s own apps but will not support the App Store. Users may be able to use their iPhone to project widgets from third-party apps onto the device.
