IT Home, October 16: Apple's second wave of new products this October is expected to arrive on October 28. On October 15, Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman reported that Apple is inviting select media to a product launch event in Los Angeles, USA, on October 28, where it is anticipated to unveil a touchscreen MacBook, a new iPad mini, and an M6 Mac.

In terms of format, Gurman previously reported that this event will not follow Apple’s traditional live-streamed launch format; instead, it will primarily target content creators and include product experience sessions, similar to Apple’s event held on October 13 in New York.
IT Home learns that Gurman estimates Apple will launch four devices at this event:
- 14-inch MacBook Pro
- 16-inch MacBook Pro
- 24-inch iMac
- iPad mini 8
The 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro are expected to undergo a major redesign, featuring OLED displays, touchscreen support for the first time, M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, the Dynamic Island, and a significantly lighter body. These MacBook Pro models may also be equipped with Apple’s C1X or C2 modem, enabling built-in cellular connectivity.
The 24-inch iMac is expected to feature the M6 chip and come in a new color option.
The iPad mini 8 is expected to feature an OLED display, the A20 Pro chip, a landscape-oriented front camera, a redesigned speaker system, and water-resistant design. Apple has also previously announced that it will release a Mac Studio with 512GB of memory in late October.
Gurman said that this Los Angeles event is likely Apple's last major product launch of 2026.
