With 644% revenue growth and support from over 4,200 applications worldwide, Apera AI is transforming vision-guided robotics from custom projects into scalable products through its VuePod plug-and-play intelligent unit and ForgeAR augmented reality applications.
Vancouver, British Columbia, October 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Apera AI has been named to Deloitte’s 2026 Technology Fast 50 program for its rapid growth, entrepreneurial spirit, and bold innovation. This marks the visual-guided robotics company’s second consecutive year on the list, following a rank of #10 last year.

Apera AI CEO Sina Afrooze stated that the company’s growth has been driven by its patented 4D Vision technology and its strategic shift from custom integration projects to plug-and-play products like VuePod. “Being named a Deloitte Technology Fast 50 winner for the second consecutive year belongs to our customers and partners, who trusted us to bring 4D Vision into factory-floor production. Thank you to every manufacturer, integrator, and partner who has grown with us—your feedback shaped VuePod, and your success drives everything we do.”
This project ranks Canada’s 50 fastest-growing technology companies based on revenue growth percentages over the past four years. Apera AI ranked 37th with a 644% revenue increase from 2022 to 2025.
Brendan Cooper, Co-Lead of Deloitte’s National Technology Fast 50 program, said: “The 2026 Technology Fast 50 winners embody the creativity, resilience, and ambition that continue to define Canada’s technology industry. We are thrilled to celebrate their achievements and recognize the meaningful impact they are making in communities and markets across the country.”
Apera AI’s 4D Vision currently supports over 4,200 applications worldwide, serving six of the top ten global automotive OEMs, along with Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, and manufacturers in pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, and data center supply industries. Apera’s growth is built on real, deployed solutions—not pilot projects—giving the company deep insight into the complex and unpredictable challenges robots face in actual factory environments.
Apera AI has also obtained SOC 2 Type II compliance certification in accordance with the AICPA’s SOC standards for service organizations, SSAE 18. An independent audit conducted by Prescient Security confirmed that Apera’s security and data protection controls operate effectively over time—a requirement that is becoming increasingly critical as 4D Vision is integrated into production environments of global manufacturers. This milestone reflects Apera’s ongoing commitment to safeguarding customer data and meeting the standards expected by enterprise manufacturers when selecting automation partners.
VuePod: Integrated Grabbing Intelligence Unit with Visual Guidance
VuePod was launched at Automate 2026 in June, packaging Apera’s accumulated experience from thousands of real production applications into a complete, standalone picking intelligence unit built on 4D Vision and delivered in partnership with Ethos Automation. Each unit is validated in simulation against the customer’s part models before shipment, enabling field installation with just three simple steps—connect, calibrate, and teach placement—without requiring robotics programming or vision expertise. Its simplified design is the core focus: VuePod represents the first step toward agentic physical AI automation systems that should be as easy to teach and install as teaching a person.
Since each VuePod uses the same design, installation process, and support model, visual assets and robotic workflows can be reused, making each subsequent site deployment faster than the last. This repeatability is transforming vision-guided robotics from one-off integrations into scalable deployments—and turning automation from a high-risk, isolated project into a plan that can be extended across production lines and factories. As manufacturers grapple with persistent labor shortages, rising costs, and shrinking margins, Apera is better positioned to succeed as physical AI, embodied AI, and agentic AI move from labs into factories, where success depends on solving difficult real-world problems at scale.

ForgeAR: See your VuePod on-site before the device ships.
Apera AI also brings the Forge platform to factory floors through ForgeAR, an augmented reality app that precisely visualizes fully preconfigured VuePods—comprising robots, end-effectors, cameras, bins, and safety systems—at their actual operational locations. ForgeAR represents another step toward bridging the digital and physical worlds, making new automation solutions easier to deploy. Factory managers, automation engineers, and integrators can examine spatial clearances around the unit and verify before construction whether the robot can reach downstream equipment. The latest version adds over ten new VuePod configurations, including 3x3-foot bins for tighter spaces and dual-end-effector tools for handling long parts.

Afrooze added, “Visual guidance robots have long been limited to custom projects that require months of design and are difficult to replicate. VuePod uses agentic physical AI to autonomously plan and correct each grasp, allowing manufacturers to deploy one proven unit and then scale to ten more with consistent results. This is how the return on automation investment expands—and how manufacturers keep production lines running during labor shortages.”
To qualify for the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 ranking, a company must have been in operation for at least four years, generate at least $50,000 in revenue in 2022 and at least $5 million in revenue in 2025, be headquartered in Canada, possess proprietary technology, and invest at least 5% of its total revenue in R&D activities conducted in Canada.
Amanda Perran, Co-Lead of Deloitte’s National Technology Fast 50 program, said: “This year’s winners demonstrate what can be achieved when vision, talent, and innovation come together. They are tackling complex challenges, unlocking new opportunities, and driving the growth of Canada’s technology ecosystem. Their success inspires the next generation of entrepreneurs and helps build a more connected, competitive, and innovative future for Canada.”
Winners of Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 program include both public and private technology companies that are transforming their industries. This program runs in parallel with the broader Deloitte North America Technology Fast 500 initiative, and winners automatically qualify for inclusion in this elite ranking.
