ChainThink reports that on September 8, according to Bloomberg, sources familiar with the matter said Anthropic has decided to no longer pursue the acquisition of AI startup Decart AI.
Anthropic previously conducted due diligence on Decart but ultimately decided to withdraw; both parties may still explore other collaboration opportunities in the future. Representatives from Anthropic and Decart both declined to comment.
Bloomberg previously reported that Anthropic had negotiated to acquire Decart for approximately $6 billion, but the deal has not yet been finalized. Decart primarily develops software to improve chip efficiency, reducing the cost of training and running AI models.
Anthropic has made fewer large acquisitions and is currently investing heavily in computing power to develop new products, serve customers, and prepare for its IPO.
