AngelList disclosed that the company will officially end its partnership with Rail on July 31. Rail is currently operated by Ripple. The platform also advised users that, if making new investments recently, they should use fiat transfers to avoid processing delays before the deadline.
Termination of cooperation on July 31
According to the company’s announcement, this adjustment primarily concerns payment methods and does not affect existing investments, account access, or portfolio information. AngelList stated that ACH transfers and wire transfer services will continue to operate normally.
For platform users, the changes focus on the new funding process. Certain operations previously completed via cryptocurrency payment channels will now be handled through traditional banking systems.
Ripple acquired Rail last year.
Rail is an enterprise-grade stablecoin payment platform headquartered in Toronto. Ripple acquired the company in August 2025 for $200 million to strengthen its stablecoin payment infrastructure.
Rail’s product is designed to help businesses process stablecoin payments and receipts without needing to set up separate crypto wallets or directly integrate with exchanges. Its services support global payment scenarios across multiple fiat currencies and stablecoins such as USDC and USDT.
The platform will continue to support bank transfers.
AngelList is a platform connecting startups with investors. Public information shows that the platform has over 50,000 funds and syndicate networks, along with approximately 800,000 accredited investors.
The discontinuation of Rail reflects that, even as stablecoin payment solutions continue to expand, major tech and venture platforms still prefer traditional fiat channels like ACH and wire transfers for core business processes.
- Cooperation termination date: July 31, 2026
- Retained payment methods: ACH and wire transfer
