How it works
Anecdotes Security KPIs can establish data pipelines for a company’s source systems within minutes, extracting real-time data such as asset inventories, vulnerabilities, security training completion rates, access and offboarding transitions, and cloud environment posture. It then deterministically calculates each KPI from every relevant record, eliminating the need for manual spreadsheets or last-minute reporting. Each KPI can be configured across the following ranges:
- Single artifact—such as a centralized device inventory from MDM.
- Multiple artifacts—such as all servers across AWS accounts, GCP projects, and Azure subscriptions—are presented as a single metric.
- A portion of the artifact—such as training completion status for R&D staff only.
Since each KPI is calculated deterministically from real-time records, the same data always produces the same result, and every value can be traced back to its source system.
