Huo Xing Cai Jing reports that on August 3, according to EmberCN monitoring, an ancient Bitcoin miner address transferred 500 BTC that had remained inactive for over a decade, valued at approximately $31.27 million. Data shows that these 500 BTC were consolidated from a mining address in 2013 and had not been moved for more than 13 years. At that time, Bitcoin’s price was around $1,020, making the 500 BTC worth approximately $510,000. It is noted that $1,020 was among the peak Bitcoin prices around 2013; the price did not surpass $1,000 again until 2017, meaning this address experienced a holding period of roughly three to four years during which the assets were effectively locked in. Currently, the value of this BTC has increased by approximately 60 times compared to its value at the time of acquisition.
