Odaily Planet Daily reports that cryptocurrency analyst Darkfost posted that, following the security incident involving Ledger distributor CryptoBilis, other potentially related distributors have emerged in community discussions, including some Lazada sellers.
Darkfost stated that the full scope of the incident remains difficult to confirm. Although Ledger has confirmed a connection to the CryptoBilis incident, it is still unclear whether CryptoBilis is the only affected distributor. He compiled a list of 23 Ledger distributors that may be at risk, noting that their geographic proximity raises the possibility of a compromised supply chain. However, Darkfost emphasized that this assessment is purely speculative and has not yet been confirmed.
Darkfost recommends that users who purchased a Ledger device from an authorized dealer within the past six months consider transferring their assets to another secure device until the investigation is complete. He also suggests users refer to the guide published by security researcher MagicalTux to independently check their Ledger devices for signs of tampering.
