Amazon's Bee introduces two new AI wearables, the $75 Bee Frontier and $100 Bee Eclipse, both powered by FLASH AI. The Frontier is now available, while the Eclipse will arrive soon. These devices use AI to turn conversations into notes and tasks. A $12/month Bee Pro subscription unlocks full features and app integrations. Audio is processed and deleted in real time for privacy. The launch comes amid rising interest in AI + crypto news and new token listings.

Amazon's personal AI wearable maker Bee introduced the Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse on Thursday. The devices are Bee's first new products since Amazon acquired Bee last year. The next-generation Bee Frontier costs $74.99 and can be worn on the wrist or pinned to clothes. The credit-card-sized Bee Eclipse costs $99.99 and attaches magnetically to the back of a smartphone. The Frontier comes in Onyx, Lavender and Sage. The Eclipse will be offered in Silver, Midnight, Honey and Blush. The Frontier is available now on Amazon, and the Eclipse will be available soon thereafter.

The Eclipse puts Bee into more direct competition with devices such as the Plaud Note and Pocket. The Plaud Note costs $159, while the Note Pro costs $189. The Pocket AI device costs $129.

Like the original Bee, the new devices use AI to turn everyday conversations into notes, actionable tasks, summaries and insights. Bee can remember a date and time agreed with friends and create a calendar invitation. Bee can also take lecture notes or record a care plan discussed with a doctor.

All Bee devices provide conversation summaries and recaps for free and offer 14 days of memory. A Bee Pro subscription costs $11.99 per month and provides unlimited conversation summaries. Bee Pro includes integrations with Amazon.com, Alexa+ and third-party applications. Bee Pro users also receive suggested tasks, daily memories, a personal chat assistant and conversation templates.

Bee devices use a private computing security architecture that does not store raw conversation audio. The devices process audio in real time and then delete the audio. Conversation transcripts are encrypted with keys created and controlled by the user's device. No one else, including Amazon employees, can access those files unless the user manually and intentionally shares the files.

Users can optionally connect Bee to Alexa so an Echo device can identify when the user is speaking through Alexa's Voice ID feature. The Echo device can then record conversations to provide Bee insights. Amazon notes that users can delete transcripts and summaries at any time. Bee's new connections to Amazon.com and Alexa let users make Amazon purchases or ask Alexa for Bee insights, summaries and tasks hands-free.

Bee works with productivity software including Gmail, Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook to draft emails, arrange meetings and identify action items. Users can upload photos to Bee or connect Bee to Apple's HealthKit to incorporate an overall wellness picture into Bee insights.

The Frontier and Eclipse each have one button to turn the device on and off. Both devices include an indicator light that activates when the device is summarizing a conversation. The Frontier offers IP67 water resistance and up to seven days of battery life. The Frontier also includes USB-C charging and dual microphones with advanced noise filtering. All Bee devices come with a newly redesigned companion mobile app and a new desktop app.
