Alibaba has launched QwenWork, a new enterprise-focused AI office platform integrating QoderWork, Wukong, and MuleRun. The platform officially entered public beta on August 3, with web and PC versions now available. The company also unveiled Qwen3.8 to enhance coding and collaboration. QwenWork is designed for enterprise use, not personal offices, and will soon integrate with DingTalk. With over 20 million enterprise clients on DingTalk, Alibaba aims to expand QwenWork into the AI + crypto news space. In June, Tencent’s WorkBuddy and ByteDance’s TRAE IDE led in traffic, but Alibaba’s QwenWork is expected to gain momentum with upcoming support for new token listings.

HuoXing Finance reports, according to an exclusive report by虎嗅, Alibaba has designated "AI Office" as one of its strategic directions and completed organizational and product integration: the original Wukong division has been upgraded to the "Qwen Office Division," led by Chen Yusen, consolidating the three products—QoderWork, Wukong, and MuleRun—into a unified platform called QwenWork (QwenWork). The three original products and their respective teams no longer exist independently. QwenWork launched its public beta on August 3, with web and PC client versions now available; the DingTalk integration portal is set to launch soon. On the same day, Alibaba released the Qwen3.8 model, enhancing its coding and coworking capabilities. Alibaba positions QwenWork as an "enterprise-grade AI productivity platform designed for organizational use," not as a personal office tool. In the short term, user count and monthly active users are not primary performance metrics; instead, the focus is on product experience and real-world enterprise deployment. The Qwen Office Division also oversees DingTalk, aiming to leverage DingTalk’s accumulated base of millions of enterprise customers. According to Analysys data, in June, among AI office intelligent agent desktop visits, Tencent’s WorkBuddy led with approximately 20.97 million visits, followed by ByteDance’s TRAE IDE at around 12.79 million, and Alibaba’s QoderWork at approximately 7.88 million (with Wukong contributing an additional 1.31 million). This integration is viewed internally as a critical step to catch up with Tencent and ByteDance. In response to the news, Alibaba’s Hong Kong-listed shares rose more than 7% on August 3.
