TypeSafe AI, the startup behind the AI model Jev, has secured an $870 million funding round led by a16z, with Sequoia and angel investors also participating. The raise values the company at $75 billion. Jev, released just weeks ago, has attracted over 1 million users in days and is now used by approximately one-third of Fortune 500 companies. Unlike standard large language models, Jev is embedded directly into software to handle decision-making, enabling faster and more cost-effective automation. Co-founded by former researchers from OpenAI, Meta, and Google, the company will use the funds to scale its products, hire talent, and expand computing capacity. In AI and crypto news, this funding round represents a major milestone in project financing.
