Dynamic Watch Beating AI News: AI data center operator Nscale has publicly filed its IPO application with the U.S. SEC, planning to list on the New York Stock Exchange and raise up to $3 billion, with the proposed stock ticker NSCL. The company spun off from cryptocurrency mining earlier in 2024 and has since transitioned into an AI computing infrastructure provider. According to the prospectus, as of August 2026, Nscale owns and controls data center power capacity exceeding 10 GW, with total contracted value of approximately $103 billion, including a $45 billion lease commitment from Anthropic in August this year. Key customers and partners include NVIDIA and Microsoft. Nscale’s revenue has grown rapidly, but losses have widened accordingly. For the six months ended June 30, the company reported revenue of $140.6 million, more than twelve times year-over-year growth; net loss amounted to $1.02 billion, compared to a loss of $368.9 million in the same period last year. In March this year, Nscale completed its Series C funding round led by Aker ASA and 8090 Industries, with participation from NVIDIA, Nokia, and others, valuing the company at approximately $14.6 billion. The prospectus reveals that NVIDIA holds over 5% of Nscale’s shares, though these are non-voting shares. Additionally, Nscale plans to issue NVIDIA $1 billion in unsecured convertible notes or non-voting shares. Nscale is currently accelerating expansion of its AI data centers. Its Monarch campus in West Virginia is expected to reach 2 GW of power capacity upon completion in 2028, with plans to scale to approximately 8 GW by 2031. In July this year, the company also announced the acquisition of AI software firm Anyscale for $1.65 billion to further extend its offerings into AI computing software services. Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, and Morgan Stanley are serving as joint book-running managers for this IPO.
