Huoxing Finance reports that on August 29, at the event "AI × New Finance — Innovation Global Tour Hong Kong Stop and Yangtze Group Stars Program Launch," Assistant Professor of Finance at Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business, Su Dan, stated that as information volume continues to explode, AI will evolve from assisting with information processing to making decisions and executing tasks on behalf of users. Once AI begins directly executing trades, payments and asset ownership verification will become unavoidable components—areas where Web3 and digital currencies can play a crucial role; thus, the integration of AI and Web3 is highly inevitable. Su Dan also noted that AI is transforming how companies compete. In the future, truly valuable AI products must not merely complete a small step in a workflow but must form a closed business loop and take responsibility for the final outcome. As model capabilities and workflows gradually become commoditized, corporate moats will increasingly shift toward proprietary data, real-world use cases, and deeply integrated business processes.
